Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative

The ground-breaking Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative (EDGI) is the largest global research study on the genetics of eating disorders ever conducted. EDGI aims to identify the hundreds of genes that influence a person’s risk of developing anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder, to improve treatment, and ultimately save lives.

UNITE

Uniting Couples in the Treatment of Eating Disorders

Dr. Donald Baucom, Dr. Jennifer Kirby, and Dr. Bulik have created a suite of couple-based treatments for eating disorders called UNITE (Uniting couples in the Treatment of Eating disorders). We know that family members can be our best allies in treatment for youth with eating disorders, but often adults with eating disorders are expected to recover on their own.
